Jonathan Bont: Federal Criminal Case Dismissed

Jonathan Bont successfully represented former Celadon Chief Operating Officer Eric Meek against federal accounting and securities fraud charges. The case had been ongoing for over two years, but on August 10, 2022, the government took the highly unusual step of dismissing all charges.

Both Peavler and Meek were charged with multiple accounts of fraud and for making false statements to a public company’s accountants. Prosecutors said, “the government believes the indictment should be dismissed with prejudice, in the interests of justice.”
